Body

Petra Dubach & Mario van Horrik (Netherlands) have been an artistic duo since 1983, working from the notion that movement and sound are identical; without movement (vibration) nothing can be heard. They explore this idea in many forms through installations and performances using sound, image, new-media and technology, with a particular interest in projects that deal with communication, formal translations, and (mis)understanding. They have presented their work worldwide and join us on the back of their upcoming installation and performances at the Audio Foundation in Tāmaki Makaurau. For this concert they will be performing their Table Piece for amplified table. Travel made possible with the help of Dutch Cultural Foundation - the Constant van Renesse Fonds.

David Long & Amy Jean Barnett (duo)

David Long was a founding member of the Mutton Birds and is part of the resurgent easy listening noise band, Teeth. He is soon to release a new album ‘Undance’,  and, in 2025, released ‘All Things, Will Stay, Silent’, both on Rattle Records. He composes for film and television, theatre and contemporary dance.

Amy Jean Barnett is a composer and artist whose compositional practice draws on electroacoustic techniques, minimalism, and historical tuning systems. Working across acoustic instruments and electronics, her music coalesces through sustained resonance, evolving harmonic structures, and subtle timbral variation.

Together, they perform a live electroacoustic set of washed-out guitars and slowly evolving electronics, unfolding through gradual shifts in texture, tone, and resonance.
